Trial, free mode and licence
All My Movies is not crippleware and it does not hold your data hostage. There are three states, and the program tells you which one it is in, in the title bar.
Trial — 30 days
Every feature, no limits, no nagging beyond a line in the title bar telling you how many days are left and what happens afterwards. Use the trial to find out whether the program suits the way you work.
Free mode — after the trial
When the trial runs out All My Movies does not stop working. It changes gear.

Mass operations — scanning drives, importing from CSV, Excel or another cataloging program, appending a collection, creating a new collection — belong to actively building a large catalog, so they need a licence or an active trial.
Your data is never locked in. Backups and every export format work in all three states, whatever the size of the collection. If you decide All My Movies is not for you, you can still take your catalog with you as HTML, CHM, Excel, PDF, images or plain text.
Licensed
No limits, no reminders, and the title bar is quiet. A licence also brings e-mail support and free minor updates.
Activating the licence
After the purchase you receive an e-mail with your personal activation code. Activation is done online, so the computer must be connected to the Internet.
- Choose and click Activate… (the reminder window has an Enter Activation Code button that does the same).
- Paste the activation code from the e-mail into Your activation code.
- Click OK. The program checks the code with our server; if the server asks for it, enter your e-mail address to complete the activation.
All limits are removed the moment the activation succeeds — there is nothing to restart.

| The code is not accepted | Almost always a copying accident: a missing character or an extra one picked up from the e-mail. Copy the code again, whole. The window shows the server's answer, which usually says what is wrong. |
