Trial, free mode and licence
All My Books is not crippleware and it does not hold your data hostage. There are three states, and the program tells you which one it is in, in the title bar.
Trial — 30 days
Every feature, no limits. The title bar tells you how many days are left and what happens afterwards, and at every start (except on the day you install the program) a Trial Version window reminds you of the licence: Get a License Instantly opens the ordering page, Enter Activation Code activates a licence you have bought, and Try for FREE goes on to the program. After the first five days that last button unlocks after a countdown of a few seconds. Use the trial to find out whether the program suits the way you work.
Free mode — after the trial
When the trial runs out All My Books does not stop working. It changes gear.

Bulk operations — creating a new collection, importing from Excel or CSV, appending another collection (Append from), scanning drives and restoring a collection from the mobile app — belong to actively building a large catalog, so in free mode they need a licence whatever the size of the collection. Importing from another cataloguing program is not locked, so you can always bring an existing catalog over and look at it; if it holds more than 100 books, adding and editing are then locked as described above.
Your data is never locked in. Backups and every export format work in all three states, whatever the size of the collection. If you decide All My Books is not for you, you can still take your catalog with you as HTML, Excel, PDF or plain text.
Licensed
No limits, no reminders, and the title bar is quiet.
Activating a licence
- Choose and click Activate… (or click Enter Activation Code in the trial reminder window).
- The dialog opens on the Online activation tab. Paste the activation code from the e-mail you received into Your activation code.
- Click OK. The program checks the code with our activation server and shows the result in the same dialog.
The licence takes effect immediately — there is nothing to restart. Activation needs an internet connection. If the computer cannot go online, or the dialog says the activation server is not available and a retry does not help, write to our support.
