Adding an audiobook
Audiobooks are catalogued the same way as e-books, with the difference that a single book is often a folder of dozens of files. All My Books handles both cases.

.mp3, .ogg, .wma, .aac,
.m4a, .m4b, .mp4, and Audible's
.aa and .aax.
Adding an audiobook
- Choose (Ctrl+F3).
- Select the file, or one file from the folder of a multi-part book.
- The card opens with what the tags contained: title, author, narrator, series, year, and the cover art embedded in the file.
- Correct anything that is wrong and click OK.
Playing time is measured from the audio itself, not guessed from the file size, and appears in Play time on the Metadata tab. For a multi-part book the durations of the parts are added together, so you can see at a glance that a book is nineteen hours long.
A folder of tracks as one book
Use with Add all files in the folder as one book switched on. Each folder then becomes a single entry with every track attached to it, instead of forty-two entries called “Chapter 01” to “Chapter 42”. See Scanning a drive for books.
Audiobook tags are frequently wrong — the author field holds the narrator, the album holds a chapter title. Fix the card once in All My Books and you never have to look at the tags again; the collection, not the files, is what you search.
Books with audio files attached can be played from the collection with Shift+Ctrl+P, and copied to a phone or player with Copying books to a device.
