Sharing with friends
The collection does not have to stay on your computer. All My Books turns it into an ordinary web page — a single HTML file, or a set of pages with covers — that you can email, put on a website or open on a phone.
- Choose (Ctrl+H).
- Pick a template. Six are supplied — Clean, Dark, High Contrast, Large Print, Neon and Interactive — plus a plain Simple table. The preview on the right shows what you are choosing.
- Choose which fields to include and in what order.
- Set the output file, then click Go!.
The five styled templates are responsive: the same page is readable on a phone and on a desktop. Interactive adds a search box and live filtering to the exported page, which is the one to pick for a large collection.
Only the books currently visible are exported. Filter the collection first — for example — and you get a page with exactly that list on it. See Finding a book.
Other ways to share
- A single file to send. Export to CHM (Ctrl+L) packs the whole report, covers included, into one Windows help file.
- Something to print or read as a document. Export to PDF (Ctrl+F) uses the same report templates as printing — see Printing.
- A copy in your pocket. Export to the mobile device puts the collection into the All My Books app for Android — see Exporting.
- The book files themselves. To copy actual e-books onto a reader or a phone, use Copying books to a device.
