All My Movies 9.0 Moves to TheMovieDB for Faster, Multilingual Movie Details

All My Movies now takes movie, TV series and people details from TheMovieDB: faster, more reliable, and in the language of the program's interface.

December 13, 2021 — Bolide Software today released All My Movies 9.0, a new major version of its movie organizer for Windows.

TheMovieDB as the main source

TheMovieDB.org is now the main online database of All My Movies for movies, TV series and people. It is fast and stable, it is kept up to date by a large community, and the program connects to it through the official API. The details come in the language of the interface: a German user gets German plots and titles, a Spanish user — Spanish ones.

Discover and browse

• A "Show similar movies" link in the movie details for movies added from TheMovieDB or Kinopoisk.
• Person search results now show photos, and a person's filmography is displayed as a neat bulleted list.
• Audio streams are shown as a table in the movie card.
• Two new templates for the movie details area.

Handy details

• Drop image files onto the program window, and All My Movies offers to add them as the cover or as screenshots of the current movie.
• Movies can be grouped by file type, and the list of recently opened databases can be edited.
• Faster loading of pictures in the movie selection dialog, and a lot of smaller improvements and fixes.
