All My Movies 10: The Movie Organizer Rebuilt From the Ground Up

The biggest update in the program's history keeps the familiar interface, but under the hood everything is new: it is faster, sharp on 4K screens, has a dark theme, speaks any language in any field, and moves your collection over from other programs and media centers in a few clicks.

September 8, 2026 — Bolide Software today released All My Movies 10, a new major version of its movie organizer for Windows. All My Movies catalogs movie collections of any kind — DVD and Blu-ray discs on the shelf, video files on hard drives, TV series with every episode — and fills in the details automatically from online movie databases: type a title, and the poster, cast, plot and technical data are in the catalog a moment later.

Rebuilt on a modern platform

All My Movies 10 has been rebuilt from the ground up on a modern development platform. The interface stays the one long-time users know, but the program behind it has been reworked completely. Windows open two to five times faster, editing a movie is instant, and mass exports no longer slow down on large collections. The program is fully HiDPI-aware — it stays sharp on 4K displays and on several monitors with different scaling — and it gets a dark theme and new interface themes.

Full Unicode support means any language in any field, whatever the regional settings of Windows: Korean titles, Hebrew names and Cyrillic notes can live side by side in one catalog. All 18 interface languages have been completed, and even the buttons of message dialogs now speak the user's language.

Moving in takes minutes

Imports from other collection managers are now gathered in one menu: Movienizer and Medianizer, Movie Collector (read directly from its .mvc database), DVD Profiler, Ant Movie Catalog, Personal Video Database, EMDB, CATVids, MBase2 and My Movies. For the first time, All My Movies also imports libraries straight from the media centers Kodi, Plex, Emby and Jellyfin, with covers, series and episodes. Importing thousands of people with their photos now takes minutes instead of hours, and Excel and CSV import and export no longer require Microsoft Office to be installed.

Adding and finding movies

• The drive scan has been reworked: a folder tree, TV series grouped into one title with its episodes, sample files skipped, and a history of scanned folders for quick re-scans.
• For Blu-ray discs, the main movie is found from the disc playlists instead of simply taking the largest file.
• A reworked barcode scanner works with an ordinary webcam; a barcode that is not known yet is looked up in an online catalog.
• The online sources have been revised: TheMovieDB, TheTVDB search works again, Kinopoisk, MovieMeter and Filmweb have been reworked, and large covers come from fanart.tv.
• "Search in all fields" is more reliable and highlights what it found right in the movie card.

Presenting the collection

• The movie, person and friend card templates have been completely revised.
• Six new HTML export templates, including an Interactive one with instant search.
• Printing, print preview and PDF export have been reworked, and a single movie card can now be printed.
• Several photos per person with a gallery in the person card; people with the same name are told apart automatically.
• A new "Open with" submenu for movie files, just like in Windows Explorer; audio tracks are shown in a proper grid; video frame capture no longer depends on the codecs installed.

Safer data

Backups are now saved to a cloud-synced folder by default, and the program warns if the database itself sits in one. A damaged database is repaired automatically when it is opened instead of stopping the program at startup, and group editing no longer damages the links between movies and people, genres or tags. Hundreds of bugs and freezes accumulated over the years have been fixed.

"Many of our users have kept their catalogs in All My Movies for ten or fifteen years, so the interface they know stayed exactly where it was," says Max Smirnoff, founder of Bolide Software.
