| I have just purchased Audio Comparer and being very pleased with it, I am now considering purchasing Image Comparer. However, I have to admit to being a bit disappointed with the results on my first test run. Yes, it did find some duplicates, but it also matched some pairs of images which weren't even vaguely similar. I haven't changed any of the default settings yet to see whether that makes any difference, but I doubt if it would as the totally dissimilar images were being reported as having about 98% similarity! |

Hi, Brian E!
May be it's too early to make such conclusions . This situation is possible for single-colour or grayscaled images; well, sometimes there may occur little faults in the algorithm. But you can remove the results for such pairs manually. That's an exception rather than a rule.
Best regards, |
