Sad Evil or Very Mad Shocked

I was so excited to actually win a free license by guessing the movie titles!!
(I'm still happy to have the license.)

But I am very disappointed in the application.

The program refuses to export to anything that is viewable! It goes through the motions and takes its' dear sweet time only to render a blank html page, or only the first few pages of the pdf.
The only form of export that even kinda worked was the basic table html (no pictures), and it fouled up with numerous script errors when clicking on the highlighted title link.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64, NetFramework 1 through 4, Macromedia Flash ActiveX Control 11, Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 11.

After reading through the numerous complaints pertaining to exporting issues here in the forum, I can only guess that the problem may be due to special characters that get imported with actors' names from the online databases.
Why? If this is the problem, why hasn't something been provided to correct this issue?

There is no tool provided to successfully search for and eliminate these special characters from the database, nor is there any way to prevent them from being imported in the first place.

Other things I have checked:
1) Folder location for generated html does not have "Read Only" access.
2) AllMyMovies is always "Run as Administrator".
3) I understand that the program is not compatible with Firefox, but evidently is not compatible with Internet Explorer 8, as well.

What have I missed? I'm sure someone has been able to export their database... why can't I?

Edit (05.02.12)

Still trying to figure this out!
I have now tried running the program in XP SP2 compatibility mode, tried IE4, IE5, IE6 and I still only get a blank page after attempting to export to html. ANY help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi!
That sounds strange - because we can't reproduce this error - export works fine for us...

What can I do to make it work for US?

Could the problem have anything to do with the fact that I had the GOTD version installed prior to winning a license?
Would uninstalling and cleaning the registry help?
Does the program create any kind of a log file and where would it be?

You have no suggestions based on the facts I have given?

No, the problem has nothing to do with GOTD version and uninstalling the program and cleaning the registry won't help, as well as log file.
Let's do it the following way - will you send the exported file, the name of the template used for export and the brief description of the problem to support@bolidesoft.com. Hopefully it will help to solve the problem.

Well, I got it straightened out the old fashioned way:

I backed up my database with all the images INSIDE the database.
Uninstalled Allmymovies and cleaned the registry (including filmoteka - where all the settings and serial code was).
Manually deleted all folders belonging to allmymovies that was left behind after uninstall in C:\ProgramData\Allmymovies.
Rebooted and reinstalled. (Did not add any plugins or choose any custom skins, etc.)
Changed 'Allmymovies' shortcut properties to 'Run as Administrator'.
Opened IE8 and changed 'Security' settings to 'Allow ActiveX script to run from files' on my pc.

Result - I can now export to html, sort of.
'Online Movie List' html template still renders a blank page.
'Online DB' html template works beautifully.
'Lite Grey' html template gave me one long single page that is cumbersome to navigate, but worked; nonetheless.

As of this time, these are the only templates that I have tested; but I do firmly believe that the problem did arise from having the GOTD version installed prior to trying version 6.9 or, it would still be inoperable.

Hopefully, my experience will help someone who has experienced the same issues or inspire someone to find the working solution.

Satisfied for now,
Viki
