Alex, please make sure you are able to open web sites with Internet Explorer. All My Movies uses IE engine to query the online databases.

possibly, you set "work offline" checkbox in the "File" menu of Internet Explorer.

I just started having the cannot connect problem.
Was working ok after install, today getting error. Only seems to be a problem with scanner lookup.

IE is NOT set to work offline.
I can put in a movie title by hand and it works fine.

Does the program go somewhere else to lookup UPC scanner code?

Steve, can you show the example of barcodes you failed to lookup?
I hope they help us to solve this issue

Hi,

(F6) Add movie by barcode
It was all movies I tried to enter. It wasn't just scanned bar codes. If I entered the bar codes manually, it would fail as well. It looks like it is working again today. It appears that the bar codes are looked up on a different site that may have been down over the weekend? I couldn't find any entry that showed or let me set the location of that lookup.

If I entered a movie name on the (Ins) Add movie screen, it would lookup fine.
