I purchased Adult plugin with great hope.

I have a huge collection (adult movie rental place) and was hoping to catalog them fast.

Most of the movies I want to add are listed in www.pureplaymedia.com or www.excaliburfilms.com or www.excaliburfilms.com. When I do a manual search for these movies, they come up easily, but when I try using AllMyMovies with the adult plugin, no luck.

Could you suggest anything?

How could I at least get the movie link from the search site and enter it? (Like it is possible with IMDB).

I would greatly appreciate any help with this matter...

Can you tell me which site (among different sites in the plugin) works other than adultdvdempire.

Many of them are listed and I have tried them, but none seem to work !!!

What gives ?

Why charge people money for something that was already free (adultdvdempire)???

Hi,

The adult plugin pack is still not working correctly for actress/actor namecard when getting information from www.ExcaliburFilms.xom (Porn stars). Just a couple of fields fill in correctly, most fields get unwanted charachters or lacks information completely. Example:

Comments field:
Birthdate: May 13, 1984 
Age: 25 
Astrology: Taurus 
.......

Birth place field:
Romania 
Years Active: 2002-2008 
Measurements: 34D-26-34 
Height: 5 feet

Also, if biography is present at the website, it is poorly formatted after import. And filmography is always missing.... Sad

Please fix, it's a lot of work doing it manually.

Ok, I can see now that formatting is actually carried out on the name card. xxx<\b> will make text bold. I was not aware of that. Anyway for "Known Alias:" one < is missing in some case, but not all... Still I would prefer to skip that line completely and move the alias names to the "Alternative name" field instead (as mentioned in my previous post)

One more item... This applies to the filmography retrieved from Excalibusrfilms. The list from Excaliburfilms it not complete I think. The list from iafd.com (Internet Adult Film Database) seems more complete. I've already suggested to implement a plugin to retrive data from there, but iafd.com lacks the biography section. Would it be possible to select different sources when getting data from online sites? One source, f.ex excaliburfilms, for general data and biography and iafd.com for filmography?

One more issue regarding incomplete filmography: It looks like the plugin only retrieves movies on Page 1 if there are more than one page in the listing.

Watching closely yes,as I hope a lot of us...
I myself have a big gay and bi adult movie collection and in this department the program is very deficient, to the point of being almost of no help.
You list 2 commercial gay databases, one from Australia (?) that has such a small collection that it is completely useless, the other one (Gay DVD Empire) a little bigger but still lacking a lot of titles. I was able to retrieve info from about 30% of my collection.

Regarding commercial stores, the more complete to my knowledge is www.radvideo.com, it really should be added.

Another customer mentioned Internet Adult Film Database www.iafd.com, it's a non commercial site and includes gay and straight films. No pics but lots of info there. Should be a priority.

However the best database for gay porn films is probably Gay Erotic Video Index http://www.wtule.net, a fan site that has almost everything up to 2007 with a very complete database of films that includes some photos, comments and more info about the performers.

I mentioned all that in a feedback message after having purchased the software, but got no answer. Are you guys working on it ? Am I the only one of your customers interested in gay porn?

About the actors template, there should be the possibility of 3 or 4 alternate names, it's very common in adult films. I still don't understand if the "alternate name" and "alias" are in fact the same function and how to use the "alias" feature. And by the way the help and tutorial sections of the site are really poor and not up to date with the last versions. Give some examples of how to use ALL the features please.

I want also to second Baitfisher in his desire to be able to retrieve data from different sources. I understand it must be complicate to implement but there might be an easier solution : how about when you retrieve info from an outside database be given the choice of 1)replace old data or 2)add to old data? This way we could complete the cards with info from different sources and then edit the redundant info. I think this would be very useful also for non adult movies.

Hi!

All your suggestions and wishes have been given to the adult plugin developer.
As for using two sources, you can do the following: you fill in all the fields from one source, then clean the fields which you would like to fill in from another source and repeat the search in another database - only empty fields will be filled in then.

I am afraid your suggestion about how to get data from more than one source wouldn't be very practical. When you double click on a source to retrieve info you don't know which fields will be filled and with what. So you cannot know which fields to clean.
I am no developer but I still think the choice 1) "replace old data" 2) "add to old data" would be the best and very useful for mainstream movies too.
