Do you mean one entry line, so that search could be performed in all the fields at the same time? Or what? Could you explain in detail?

Best regards,

So far you can't copy from AMM, but you may copy in some other program, for example, Web-browser and paste into All My Movies (by right click on the domain of movie description and choose in the popup-menu - Paste image as cover).

Could you add Audio information to the program?
Example: English, Spanish, etc.

Taken screenshots from divx movies are usually in small resolution, is it possible to make when clicking on screenshot, then pressing ctrl key + scrolling middle mouse button to increase screenshot size.

AMM is a great software, but there is one major flaw that still is preventing me from buying it.

After scanning my hard drive for movies I have to wait for each movie to be found on IMDB, select the right version and then wait again for it to download the details and covers.

I know some people have been suggesting to have an option that allows to choose the first title, or most popular title, which would probably be the right one for 90% of the movies. I can see why you have been hesitant of adding this feature as it doesn't present a solution on how to deal with the 10% that are wrong.

I have seen another solution on a software which name I can't remember;

It had a 'batch capture' function. After scanning the hard drive for movies, it would go and automatically search all the titles on IMDB for possible matches. It would then present you with a long list, showing your original filename of the movie found on your drive and then the possible matches found on IMDB for it. This means it would cut out a lot of the waiting, and I don't have to hit the search button to get the info from IMDB for each individual file.

Once it has finished searching on IMDB for possible matches for the files found on your computer, (Depending on how many movies you have and how fast your connection is this could take up to hours)

You can now quickly go through the list and select the correct title out of all the options presented. once you finished selecting all the correct titles, there should be an option to now download all the information including covers. Again this could take some time, but at least you don't have to sit there and wait before and after each movie file you want to add to AMM.

This option still involves a bit of work by the user. But it could be designed in such a way that the software automatically chooses a preferred title after the scan. So it would be up to each individual user to decide if they want to go through all the tiles on the 'batch capture list' to make sure the software chose the right title. Or if the user just wants to proceed to the next step and download all the information and covers for the movies as suggested by the software.

I think once you guys have conquered this missing link, All My Movies will become a must have software for all people owning a large movie collection on their PC (which is most of us these days)!

Cheers

Sorry for my english Smile

I purchased All my movies recently, and I love it. I kind of miss little things in the organise options, but it's a great software & it's a well spent money.

My suggestions for making ir better:

-In the Virtual Shelf, add an option to organise films by YEAR (I couldn't believe it's not there, because most movie collectors index by years) if you can add this option, it would be perfect for me.

-I'm not all familiar with the software, but I can't find an option to make Virtual Shelf go Full Screen without the interface, it would be awesome to have it...

That's my 2 cents on making better your product, thanks for reading.

Fernando
As for your first suggestion, we'll think it over.

As far as Virtual Shelf is concerned, there's no such an option actually, but you can maximaze the virtual shelf width using slider. Well, and using CTRL-Z combination, you can turn to the horizontal view and then increase the shelf's size up to maximum - may be this way will be a bit more convenient Wink
