|

I have a lot of files in a few directories. I add new ones from time to time. It would be nice if the Scan Drive for Movies could either flag movie files already in the database, or had a check box that only includes new files.
It would make importing quicker, and reduce the number of duplicates.
You could also alert someone when they are adding a movie file that's already in the database, too.
Thanks

We can only improve warning when the movie with the equal "Local path" trying to be added in this case.
We cannot forbid adding movies with equal titles because sometime you need to add identical movies on different medias, for example |

I'm talking about the "scan drive" option. I understand you can't just block adding movies like that, that's not what I'm asking.
Let me put it this way...
I have a directory with about 250 movie clips in it. I click on Tools, Scan Drive for Movies... and then add as many as time permits, let's say I added 100 into the database. The next day I want to finish adding the movies in that directory, so I click on Tools, Scan Drive for Movies. As it is setup now, I have to go through the list and manually delete the ones I've already entered before I could start adding the others.
What I would like is for there to be some way to automatically remove entries from that list that have already been added to the database. It would be easy code. Just look for the file names. It should be optional, of course, perhaps triggered by a button.

I've never gotten a warning about duplicate local paths. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks
