| I have addressed this issue before and had hoped it would be included in the latest build but no luck. Would be nice if movies were sorted by the first REAL word in the title. "The", "An", "A" should really be skipped. They should still be displayed. If movie stores did not do this have the titles would be in the T section for THE. |

This cannot be implemented easily with the current database. But the solution is exists
Try MassPlugin to rename your movies automatically. For example, "The Terminator" can be easily renamed to "Terminator, The" and vice versa. In this case you'll get the right sorting |

I figured out a way to do it.
1) Have your movies sorted by Title
2) Have the list display Original Title
3) IMPORTANT - Original Title field should have the article(The, A, etc.) and the Title field should not.
If you do this, the movies are arranged by the first real word, but display the full title. For example, The Deal, is in the D section, but is displayed as The Deal. |
