Hello,
I have a registered copy of allmysoftware
I want to attach setup files to the allmysoftware database in the attached files section, so that I can run them straight away if I need to install a programme and don't have to hunt for them.
If I attach a large setup file ~35mb or so, all my software crashes.
I only want allmysoftware to contain a link to the file, not to include the whole file inside the database. I tried using shortcut .lnk files to the setup file but
allmysoftware followed the shortcut and still included the binary file inside the database.
This is so annoying!
Could you please help me so that I can include a link to open the file inside the database and not the whole file!! |

Yes, it is not a good idea to attach installation files to the database.
We will add the special field for the link to installation file in the next version |

Do you have any idea of when this will be available?
I'm using this on an inventory project at work at the moment and it's kind of important to me...
Thanks!

| Any reason why this happens? Does the application record a link to the file or the attaches the file? |

Any plans for an update soon?
I love the software, but am drooling at the thought to make the program full monitor size.
Thanks,

Try this instead SoftTidier "http://www.lifesniffer.com/product/softtidier/index.php?ID=1" I think it has what you seeking for. All my software have not been updated for ages. |

Even if it were proper to post about another program in this forum, the fact that the descriptions have misspelled words, and some make no sense would keep me away
