Because it is on your native language, and secondly because you modified my template |

Hehehe, i download them, burn them on a RW, watch them and burn a new movie on the RW.
Burned DVD's are not guaranteed to last long. Not said that they do not last several years or a few decades.
Pressed DVD's last longer, that's a fact. That's why i buy the movies i like on DVD

TOPIC-KICK
and to keep a topic alive that is not too serious.
Collection is steadily growing. Since i use AMM, and that is about 4 months now, i buy more DVD's than i did before. When i started using AMM i had about 150 DVD's, collected in 4 years or so. Now the collection almost reaches 250, also because i bought a few box-sets: Dirty Harry Collection, Magnificent Seven Collection, Beverly Hills Cop Line Up, X-Men Trilogy.
I blame AMM and Bolidesoft for aggravating my movie-addiction. |

Well, looks like i have far more movies than all of you .... Also all of my movies are on "my harddrives" to.. which are connected to my plasma.. i quit buying movies about 4 years ago, i was at 308 store bought dvd's. Now with those 300 and my new collection... i'm a little over 3000. No bootlegs, no screeners, all dvd retail rips. If anyone cares to see or even if you don't i will update my list this weekend and post it. |

I have a few reasons i buy movies on DVD:
- I always wanted to start a movie-collection, but i refused to start a collection in VHS because of the fact of the quality not being guaranteed over the years. Non-copy DVD's are guaranteed.
- Keeping movies on the harddrive is not a guarantee either looking at the fact that one of my friends lost his harddrive and with it 200 GB of MP3. Scary thought to loose all (or a lot of) my movies.
- The knowledge that my collection is a non-copy-collection is also a point to keep on buying. How cool is it to be able to say that a collection only consists of originals. I once had over 300 VCD's, downloaded from the internet and burnt on cd's, but i gave those away because of lack of quality and sound.
I do download new movies and watch them and when a movie is any good i'll buy it when the price is right.
And ofcourse, in about ten years we will all be watching movies from memorycards, even Blu-ray and HD-DVD will be obsolete then when it comes to movies.

Hardrive failure is rare. Externals that is. They don't run all day or much at all in my case. I'm at like 3800 gigs right now. Just think of the space that would require for store bought dvd's |

http://www.imdb.com/mymovies/list?l=13304211
Stored online on 2 x 3TB NAS Boxes, a further un catalogued as yet 3TB NAS box with Thai Movies (English subtitles), music videos, TV shows etc.
Bordering on OCD they're 99% filenamed identically to IMDB title, 99.9% DVD RIP in quality.
I'm just experimenting with AMM at the moment, I may buy, I have a couple of concerns, plot summaries are only imported up to the MORE hyperlink, and no mass add facility for IMDB/DVDEMPIRE data, a searchable flag marked where manual intervention might be required (i.e. more than one lookup) would save a *HUGE* amount of time, DVD covers found in IMDB but missing in DVDEMPIRE are skipped too. Is there a database anywhere of file sizes/hash's for rips>IMDB records?
If I buy this, will it scale to a large collection with covers/screenshots etc? A single owner/multi-user (site) licence would be useful too. |

Your site asks for a password .......
Mine is also steadily growing, but i am also selling movies i don't like because for example the movie only has DD 2.0-sound or are 1.33:1 |
