Hi there.. I have been using "All My Movies" for a few years now and think it's the only good one out there. I know you can export custom fields to excel, but when I try to import from execl, the custom fileds are not avail. is there any way to mass import them??

Thanks for your Help..

When I enter my excel list in All My Movies, he creates 2000 till 3000 movies!
I want to import 200 movies!! Why does it create 2000 till 3000, and how can I select the empty movie cells at ones and not by "delete"and "enter", while this takes me a lot (approx 2000 times) of clicking "delete" "enter". Can someone please help me with this problem!! Question Question Question

You can delete empty rows in MS Excel before import XLS file to All My Movies

The other cells he copies from excel are not in use, but he imports anyway 1564 films. (200 are films and the rest are empty cells.
How do you explain that? Sad Question

Ok I have updated to the latest ver. When I go to import from excel the custom fields are now available, however when the import is done it just appends the records to the end of the database and I end up with double the amount of records. Maybe I need to explain myself; here is what I want to do. I want to export certain custom fields to excel. Make mass changes or entries to those fields and then import those changes back into the database to update existing records. Is this even possible?? Can I open this database directly with another program to do a mass change??

Thanks for your help...

try to do the following:
- open MS Excel and your movie collection XLS file
- select your 200 movies and copy them to the clipboard
- create an empty XLS document, paste your movies and save
- use just saved document to import movies to AMM

I hope this helps

When you use import from MS Excel, the movies you got from XLS will be always added to the existing ones. You can create an empty database and import your movies.

You can open AMM database with MS Access.
Or you can try to use MassPlugin for mass updates.
