|
|
I'd like to see an option for CSV to import the local path so when large # of
Movies are imported, they can automagically point to the AVI file on the drive.
I share an earlier poster's desire to be able to have CSV imports go out to IMDB all at once instead of having to manually do each file.
It would be nice if there was someway to have duplicate checking so if someone wanted to update the database by reimporting a master csv list it wouldn't create duplicate movies of what was already there, allowing an easy update without manually trying to figure out what's already in the database.
I'd like to see the MPAA rating on the main page next to the graphic instead of having to open the record up to see it.
Any plans to make the interface easier to use with a remote for those who want to select and play movies directly to TV without needing a keyboard and mouse? |

| Regarding the first feature about importing the file locations it would be AWESOME if they could be used to import into an existing database, update the file location fields in each record by matching the title and then importing new file locations. This would allow you to move movies around from drive to drive or to another machine and then do an import into the database of the new file locations to "fix" them so they play properly |

Remote should work for the movie browsing and "Play" button should work too. Do you have Windows Media Center edition installed?
As for the CSV import, we can add the local path import, but haven't plans to make a full sycnronization with a master csv list at this moment.
To place MPAA rating next to the graphic you can edit your current HTML template. Also, we'll add MPAA displaying to the standard template in the next version |

No, I don't have Media Center edition. I just *assumed* a remote wouldn't work because I have a large collection and to search for a name you'd need a keyboard. I guess I had in mind the TIVO interface where you can use the remote arrow keys to select one letter at a time (if searching by name) until you browse to the section you want. Anyway, that's a tall order so my *real* question would be: Do you have any recommendations for a remote that works well if I want to retrofit a standard PC? I've seen remotes with some of the high end graphics cards - do they work for this purpose?
Thanks for tip on MPAA rating - I've added the column to my browse list and that works well for now. I can click on the top of the column and it sorts them by rating. However, could you please consider adding MPAA field to the Movie Search option under "Tools?" |
